Above Photograph: The painting in the background is an oil on 20x24" linen that I  painted of a great 53 Tele and 59 tweed twin amp. Close-up photos of this painting can be viewed at my Art Studio.  I am painting a series of vintage guitar paintings for collectors.   In my lap is a 1953 Esquire that was once owned and played by the talented Tom Keiffer, of the internationally famous Cinderella band on several of his best albums.   I'm sitting on the same tweed twin that is in the painting.

The BOOMERS is a smokin, tight classic rock band, all seasoned veterans, specializing in 70's rock cover tunes including  Van Morrison, Allman Bros, Doobie Bros, Little Feat, Rolling Stones, Bonnie Raitt, Who, Eagles, Beatles, Jackson Browne, Dire Straits, Stevie Winwood,  etc...

The BOOMERS are playing private parties throughout  Chevy Chase, Bethesda, and the DC metro area.   This is one of the best classic rock cover bands playing around town with nice tight three part vocal arrangements and plenty of rompin dance music.

BOOMERS Line-up:     Mark Lovett -vocals and lead guitar,  Keith Lanzoni - vocals and rhythm guitar, Rob Fisher - drums & vocals, & Brian Goddard  of Harbison, Bond & Goddard (and dozens of very well known top professional, bands)   bass/ vocals, and Bill Starks of Jr Cline & The Recliners (and Ruthie and the Wranglers) on keys and vocals.

BOOMERS Events: Last weekend, September 2006, our regular hot drummer Rob Fisher could not make our gig, but we were very fortunate to have the legendary drummer Robbie Magruder fill in. Fisher's shoes were big to fill, but Magruder did an unbelievable job, especially considering that we didn't even get one rehersel in before the gig.

Magruder has worked with such icons as Roy Buchannon, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Jonathan Edwards, Tony Rice, Pete Kennedy, Jon Jennings in his long illustrious career, so it was certainly a pleasure to have the opportunity to play with a drummer of this high caliber. The event was held at the Gibson Island Club on Gibson Island in Annapolis Maryland. If you ever have a chance to visit this restaurant/club, you really owe it to yourself to do so because it has a wall of windows overlooking the Chesapeake Bay with a spectacular view of the water and very friendly people. We love playing at this venue.
