‘Duane Allman Live at the Fillmore’ Original Oil Painting 24×30″ on linen canvas
Allman Brothers Band Memorabilia – Gregg Allman owned and displayed the reproduction of this painting, which can be seen in the picture being handed to him back stage from Mark Lovett at a live performance at Virginia’s State Theater.
This original, unframed, Oil Painting, size 24×30″, which was copied to make the giclee, was hand painted on linen canvas in 2005, and been in our personal collection ever since.
Gregg Allman proudly displayed a reproduction of this painting in his Florida residence up until his death in 2017.
I am a huge fan of Gregg and Duane, loved their music so much, which inspired me to capture this special moment in time during the Allman Brothers Band live at Filmore East concert on 3/13/71, which produced one of the greatest live albums in the history of rock music.
Duane was playing his famous 1959 Burst Les Paul which is displayed in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, and I wouldnt be surprised if the guitar would sell for over a million dollars now.
