‘I Promise’ is a stunning portrait of a young lady who modeled for many of my paintings over the years. I discovered her, and her mother, at a children’s theater event when she was about 6 years old. She was dressed in a reindeer costume and stole the show with her radiance. Upon expressing my interest to her mother to have her daughter model for my paintings, I received a warm response, so we set up a date for a photo session.
Brydon and her mother enjoyed the photo sessions so much that we continued to do them for many years. I collaborated with her mother on her outfits, as well as the overall theme and locations of the photo sessions. The paintings created from her modeling sessions sold very well at Rehs gallery in New York, and we are fortunate to still have a couple left, such as this beautiful painting ‘I Promise’.
We captured something very compelling in this portrait. In December of 2025, I posted this painting on TikTok, and even though we had no presence or followers on this platform, as of the date of this writing 1/22/26, the original painting has received over 60,000 views, 7200 likes and 1300 comments.
