‘My husband gifted a portrait of my daughters and me for Mother’s Day. Now, this is a beautiful gift for any occasion, but as I have stage 4 cancer, having an heirloom quality work of art that my daughters can carry with them for years to come is a gift blew my mama’s heart away.
Working with Mark and his wife Laurel was also such a pleasant process. Mark steered us very well with recommendations for clothing style, colors, and setting. When they came to our home for a photo shoot, Mark did an incredible job putting my shy girls at ease and directing our composition. The process of choosing the photo (or combination of faces/poses in different photos, in our case) was seamless.
From there, we waited about 2.5 months to let Mark do his magic. And boy was there magic. Mark’s skill and artistic license blew away all my expectations. He so purely captured not only our essence, but somehow the love and beauty of the moment.
While a photo is worth a thousand words, a portrait evokes emotions, contemplation, and a story. I know my daughters will have this portrait as part of their lives as they grow and recall — through Mark’s artistry — the beauty of their childhood and my presence in it. We are beyond delighted with the final product and cannot recommend Mark Lovett highly enough.’
